Again I start on another weight loss journey. I've been down this road so many times that my footprints are permanently etched in the ground. This time, I'm committed to seeing it through. This time, I'm getting in shape.

One thing I realized was that I needed a scale. So I headed to one of my favorite haunts, Big Lots and bought a nice digital one. Now, the truth will be told - on 1/10/09, I weighed 241.6lbs. I stand 5'7. My goal is to get down to 185 lbs. Here's my plan:

Do 200-300 crunches per day on my Ab Lounge.
Continue my low sodium-no sodium meal plan
Keep drinking 5-6 bottles of 16.9 oz. water a day
Stay away from fast foods
Eat more vegetables/fruits each day
Eat chicken, fish, turkey and seafood

I have a serious weakness for ice cream and Dad's Scotch Oatmeal Cookies. Dad's are a St. Louis original and believe me, these are the kind of cookies that will send you on a hunt for them. I love that butterscotch flavor. Add these cookies to some Breyer's Peach Ice Cream, and I am in heaven. But then, I am trying to lose weight; guess I should lay off the guilty pleasures.

Another piece of my weight loss arsenal are my vitamin supplements. Previously, I shared with you my success in getting my blood pressure down using Fish Oil Caplets with Omega-3. I've recently added Acai Berry natural supplements to help cleanse my colon and provide antioxidants. The Acai Berry seems to have sped up my metabolism. This is good - the quicker you metabolize your food, the more calories you burn, thus aiding in weight loss.

In doing at least 200 AB crunches a day, I'm noticinig a slight change in my midsection already. I don't have a 6-pack, but the muscle is beginning to show some tone. Instantly my ego smiles, one of my dreams is to have a flat stomach - something I haven't had in over 20 years. LOL.

So I'm watching my weight, and if you're reading Teasas World, so are you!
