Okay, so I'm up at 3:45 in the morning because it sounds like something or someone is at my back door. It really creeps me out because my bedroom has a back door, and that's where I'm hearing sounds. I mean rubbing, scraping, bumping sounds.

Again, my heart was doing sumersaults and so I called the police. The 9-1-1 operator was very nice and stayed on the phone with me until the officers knocked on my front door.

I was so embarrassed when the officers told me it could have been a large animal making those noises.

"Have yo seen the coons and possums around here?" The officer asked me.

As I replay the whole incident in my head, I recall hearing sounds like someone or something was walking or scraping above my head on the ceiling. I don't have an attic, but I do have a crawlspace.

But, whatever it was, it was probably kind of big because of the harsh sounds I heard at my back door. The critter, whatever it was, was scratching hard at my door, hard enough to wake me up.

I am truly a city girl, out in the country. I already know, this is going to be an interesting summer. And just think I got excited about moving down here because I wanted the chance to photograph and see an actual Bald Eagle!

Hi Latease,

I hope tonight you'll get a good night sleep.

I can imagine what you've gone through.

By the time summer comes, all this will be over and you're used to live there. Think about the nice photographs you'll be making of the Bald Eagle.

Enjoy the weekend.
