The Countdown Is On!

The countdown is on! My new computer has been shipped from the warehouse and is on its way to me. I feel like a kid waiting for Santa Clause on Christmas Eve, too excited.

Since I moved into my new house, I lost the luxury of having a computer at my beck and call. Sure I could drive over to my sisters' house and use her computer - but one of the challenges I've faced is doing things around the house and actually getting over to her house. Call it laziness or whatever, I've begun decorating rooms in my house and sometimes I just get really involved.

But, my new computer is going to cure all those ills, let me tell you what it has:

It's a Gateway DX Series with 6GB Ram, 640GB Hard drive, Core 2 Quad Processor, HDTV Tuner, 21.5" monitor, and the 6GB Ram is expandable up to 8GB.

I call it "The Beast." Just a little humor while I do the happy dance. When I checked the order status this morning I finally heard what I had been longing to hear, "your order has been shipped."

My old computer was left behind in Detroit at a home that would nurture it in its elder years. Someone who wouldn't work it so hard, as much as I did.

I am so prepared for my new machine. A new top notch machine that will support multi-tabbed browsing quickly, express social bookmarking, my 7,000 photos and of course my huge music collection.

By the end of the day, I had an estimated time of arrival. Now it's all about the waiting. I checked before I went to sleep and my packages had made it to the UPS facility here in town. Maybe I'll get it before Friday - who knows? I'll be waiting, thanks for dropping by Teasas World!
