A couple of times I've written about Acai Berry and its colon cleansing/weight loss claims. I even shared with you that I had received my free trial of the superfood-dietary supplement.

But, I wanted to know more--especially claims of tummy reduction along with healthy weight loss. So, I scoured the internet for reports as well as spoke to a good friend back in Detroit who had her colon cleansed at a Wholistic Center. They do colon cleansing there.

She shared with me how cleansing her colon has indeed made her lose weight (20 pounds), however the process took 4 weeks to accomplish. What she stressed and the report I just read stressed, is that before you do anything like this, go to your doctor first! It is imperative because having your colon cleansed could be taxing on your health if you have known or unknown medical conditions.

We talked about the Acai Berry pill, and she stated that it is probably a good product because

it is all natural, but that you need to take it for a month in order to see some results. That answered my next question, because I turned down the offer to extend my free trial by 30 days from the company out of fear that I would be charged for something I no longer wanted.

I think the price for 30 days worth of the supplement was $89, yet my girlfriend tells me that $89 is a drop in the bucket for what she paid at the Wholistic Center (its not a typo, that's how it is spelled)--and that it was worth it.

As a result, she says she feels better from a health perspective, and she didn't realize that she had so much "gunk" clogging up her colon. It could be the cause of terrible toxins that live in your body, parasites that cause your belly to be swollen, and more. You really need to do this for at least 30 days to totally clean yourself out.

If you suffer from gas, bloating, acne, allergic reactions, mucus and congestion, you may want to cleanse your colon. It seems that 1 in every 6 people studied by a nationwide survey reported by the Chicago Tribune was harboring potentially dangerous parasites. These parasites ranged from microscopic organisms to 15 foot tapeworms.

According to best selling author, Dr. Bernard Jensen, "Foods That Heal," parasites are the #1 health enemy in the world, outranking cancer as mankind's deadliest health enemy. In August 2000, Discover Magazine published an article on parasites stating, "...a sinister world of monstrous creatures that feed on living flesh: parasites."

These unwanted guests are actually living rent free inside your own body. All because unhealthy fat is absorbed through your bowel wall, allowing toxins to develop and pass through your bowel.

Many people don't believe they have a clogged colon, because they are not constipated and they have normal bowel movements. However, the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago performed autopsies on 300 bodies, and 95% of the bodies were constipated. Some of those bodies had bloated colons, up to 6 times their normal size--filled with toxic material. (info courtesy of Dr. Jensen's Guide To Better Bowel Care by Dr. Bernard Jensen.)

With the high rate of Americans developing colorectal cancer (1 out of every 17), it may be worth looking into.
