I am technically on vacation. So you know what that means--traditionally good eating habits get thrown out the window. Not here, at least not totally. I'm staying with my oldest sister, and she and her husband are health conscious. Partly because my brother in law had a scare with his heart a few years ago, and my sister has lupus.

But, they are the most active people I know. And they have a treadmill. Cool! Their treadmill will get used by yours truly, as a matter of fact, as soon as I finished posting this, I am on it! My brother in law doesn't miss a day. He starts his mornings with a good treadmill walk.

I want to see if there is a difference between the calories I burn walking outside, versus the ones on a treadmill. Is there an increase or what. I'll walk for 60 minutes on the tread and let you know.

Well, this is a short post, I'm on vacation at a family reunion, and I've got family stuff to do. Chat tomorrow.

Hello! nice post! thanks for sharing some tips and your own experiences.. well i think walking would be better coz for me, its fun and I consider it a great form of exercise.. :D keep posting!

just wait till you see the numbers/stats from treadmill walking. I luv the outdoors, but I also luv the benefit of knowing my heart rate, etc.
