As a kid I always wanted to be a doctor, maybe discover the cure for cancer or something. I wanted to do something worthwhile with my life. So, in 7th grade I enrolled in a summer program that would give me hands on experience working in a hospital.
Like most kids interested in some sort of medical training program, I never once considered medical assistant training or even to become a medical assistant. Had I considered it, I could have saved myself some heartbreak and an eventual scare down in the hospital morgue.
But, that's another story for another time.
