As a kid I always wanted to be a doctor, maybe discover the cure for cancer or something. I wanted to do something worthwhile with my life. So, in 7th grade I enrolled in a summer program that would give me hands on experience working in a hospital.

Like most kids interested in some sort of medical training program, I never once considered medical assistant training or even to become a medical assistant. Had I considered it, I could have saved myself some heartbreak and an eventual scare down in the hospital morgue.

But, that's another story for another time.

You see, the demand for medical assistants is rising, and you don't have to run into a dead body in a hospital morgue to become one. Online courses are available and if you enroll today, you could have your certificate in 6-8 weeks.

The classes are so high tech that you can participate in virtual phlebotomy online lab courses, measuring a pulse and CPR training.

If you don't know what your future may hold and are unemployed or undecisive about a career, then look into becoming a medical assistant. It may just be the thing that ignites further medical aspirations.
